Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy has revealed that he does not view Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as the greatest players of all time, Soccernet.ng reports.
The debate over the greatest of all time is unending, typically revolving around Argentine maestro Messi and Portuguese goal machine Cristiano Ronaldo, particularly for the current generation.
For older generations, the conversation usually centers on Brazilian great Pelé and the late Argentine icon Diego Maradona.

However, Burna Boy leans slightly toward the older generation.
In an interview, he stated that Super Eagles legend Austin Jay-Jay Okocha is his ultimate greatest of all time, while also placing Pelé in the same elite category.
When asked about his choice, he said, “I'd say it's between him, Jay-Jay Okocha, it's between him and Pelé. I'm not doing that Ronaldo and Messi stuff.”

Okocha is widely regarded as one of the greatest players to emerge from the African continent. Although he did not collect numerous individual accolades during his playing days, he left fans mesmerized with his ball skills. He was an exceptional dribbler, lethal from set-pieces, and a brilliant passer of the ball.
Burna Boy Reveals His Favorite Manchester United Player
During the interview, the Grammy Award-winning artist also shared that he is a dedicated supporter of English Premier League giants Manchester United.
The Afrobeats superstar named Kobbie Mainoo as his favorite player at Manchester United, while also hailing him as his top young player alongside Lamine Yamal.
Additionally, Burna Boy confirmed that Bayern Munich marksman Harry Kane is his favorite striker at the moment. The pair were recently spotted enjoying themselves at a New York lounge following the World Cup final last week.

The talented singer has been heavily involved in football culture in recent months, notably collaborating with Shakira on the 2026 World Cup theme song, “Dai Dai.”
He also delivered stellar performances at both the opening and closing ceremonies of the tournament.
