Onuachu price revealed as Al Ahli circle Trabzonspor striker

Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu faces a defining future at Turkish side Trabzonspor with only a few weeks remaining in the summer transfer window, Soccernet.ng reports.

Onuachu has continued to face uncertainty over his future this summer, with reports of a possible exit despite only returning to the club last summer.

The 32-year-old rejoined Trabzonspor for a second spell last season after previously enjoying a loan spell at the club during the 2023-24 season from Southampton before making his move permanent.

He went on to enjoy a stunning individual campaign, scoring 26 goals across all competitions. His 22 league goals saw him finish as the Turkish Super Lig's joint top scorer alongside Istanbul Basaksehir forward Eldor Shomurodov.

Onuachu was also instrumental in Trabzonspor's Turkish Cup triumph, scoring twice in the 2025 final to help his side beat Konyaspor 2-1 and claim the trophy.

Trabzonspor reveal Onuachu price amid Al Ahli interest

According to Footy-Africa, Trabzonspor are willing to accept an offer for Onuachu if their €30 million valuation is met this summer.

Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli are currently showing the strongest interest in the Nigerian striker, with Trabzonspor expected to hold another meeting with the Saudi club this week to discuss a potential deal.

Onuachu is also reportedly open to leaving Trabzonspor this summer, although any potential transfer will still depend on whether the Turkish club's demands are met.

Trabzonspor are not short of suitors for the Super Eagles star, with Turkish rivals Fenerbahce previously showing an interest.

However, they have since ended their pursuit after turning their attention to Romelu Lukaku and completing a deal for the Belgian striker from Napoli.

Another Saudi Pro League club, Al Hilal, could also enter the race for Onuachu. The club have already explored a move for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, although their reported €130 million bid for the Galatasaray forward was rejected.

Al Hilal could be forced to consider another striker if Karim Benzema's reported departure from the club is finalised, potentially opening the door for Onuachu to emerge as a replacement.

Why Trabzonspor may now be open to Onuachu exit

Trabzonspor had previously rejected two offers and maintained a firm stance on keeping their Golden Boot winner.

However, their position appears to have softened as they close in on a move for former Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez from Al Hilal.

If Trabzonspor successfully complete their pursuit of Nunez, the Nigerian striker could be allowed to leave as the Turkish club would have secured a potential replacement for him.

However, any transfer will still depend on whether an interested club is willing to meet Trabzonspor's €30 million valuation.

For now, Onuachu remains a Trabzonspor player, but a major decision over his future could be made in the coming days as Al Ahli continue to push for his signature.

If the Saudi club meets Trabzonspor's asking price, the Super Eagles striker could be heading for a new challenge just one year after returning to Turkey on a permanent deal.
