Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare has responded publicly to reports claiming he disrupted a Wolverhampton Wanderers training session during the club's pre-season preparations, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Nigeria international insists he has remained professional throughout the ongoing transfer saga.
The 25-year-old forward issued a statement on his social media accounts on Wednesday evening after several reports suggested he staged a protest at Wolves' training camp in Portugal.
Ajax-linked Arokodare rejected those claims and said the reports did not reflect what had happened. Instead, he stressed that he remains committed to the Championship club and is simply carrying out his responsibilities while still under contract.
He wrote: “Throughout my career, I have always taken great pride in conducting myself professionally and maintaining the highest training standards.”My commitment has always been to prepare myself as well as possible so that I can contribute to my team-mates and the club whenever I am called upon.”I remain under contract with Wolves, and my only intention is to fulfil my responsibilities professionally by training, doing my job, and contributing to the team in accordance with that contract.”
The statement came after reports from BBC Sport and the Mirror claimed a disagreement between Arokodare and the club led to the cancellation of a first-team training session by new Wolves manager Cesar Peixoto. The reports also alleged that security measures were later increased to stop the striker from accessing first-team facilities.

The latest controversy comes against the backdrop of an uncertain future for Arokodare, whose time at Molineux has been filled with setbacks since his £23.4 million move from Belgian side Genk.
Reports suggest the striker wants to join Serie A side Fiorentina, while Wolves prefer to accept an offer from Turkish club Trabzonspor. Amid the disagreement, Arokodare was left out of Wolves' squad for their pre-season friendly against Maidenhead United.
The transfer dispute is only the latest challenge in what has been a difficult spell in England. During the 2025-26 season, Arokodare scored just six goals in 38 appearances across all competitions as Wolves finished bottom of the Premier League and were relegated to the Championship.
His struggles extended beyond the pitch. In February after missing a penalty during a 1-0 defeat at Crystal Palace, he was subjected to racist abuse online, prompting Wolves to release a statement condemning the attacks.
Two months later, reports emerged of a dressing-room confrontation involving teammate Mateus Mane following a heavy 4-0 defeat to West Ham United. The incident reportedly resulted in internal disciplinary action.
His poor club form also affected his international career, with Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle leaving him out of Nigeria's squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
