Portugal sealed a narrow 2-1 win over the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Dr Magalhães Pessoa Stadium, but the game saw Cristiano Ronaldo face the Green and Whites for the first time in his professional career, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 41-year-old led the line for Roberto Martinez's side last night and came close to scoring three times, but scuffed each of those chances before he was taken off shortly after the hour mark.
Akor Adams' first-half equaliser cancelled out Pedro Neto's opener before Francisco Conceicao struck the winner in the second half to hand the hosts victory.

Portugal coach explains Ronaldo's sub, why the Super Eagles lost
Goncalo Ramos came on to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, and while many thought the move was to make up for his misses, Roberto Martinez revealed that the changes were premeditated.
“Diogo Costa had the 90-minute plan, Cristiano of 60 minutes,” the former Belgium coach said in his post-match pressers as per O Jogo.
“Nuno Mendes was going to have 30 and 45 for Vitinha and João Neves. I am very pleased with the attitude and focus of all the players.
“Being able to get the idea of messing with the team and showing a synchronization is a source of pride.”

Quizzed about why his side were able to defeat the Super Eagles, Martinez revealed that Chelle's side were unable to replicate the intensity they showed in the first half.
“I think today we had an opponent with players who had a lot of physical capacity and use the attacking movements very well, without needing much combination to get to the area.
“It's a strong aspect that Congo has, too. It was a tough game, we created opportunities, we improved in the second half, which is very important to me.
“Nigeria had a good game in the first half, but in the second did not have a shot on goal. Our game had intensity without a ball and always gain help in confidence.
“But the most important thing is to have the team ready,” the 52-year-old concluded.

Portugal will take on DR Congo in their Group K World Cup opener on the 17th of June. Kick-off time is scheduled for 6:00 PM WAT.
