The Super Falcons of Nigeria have experienced another disappointment just weeks after the Confederation of African Football postponed the WAFCON tournament from March to the middle of the year, Soccernet.ng reports.
This time, it's the team captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, who picked a bone with the Nigerian Football Federation after Cape Verde pulled out of the proposed friendlies set for this month's International break.
The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder has always been vocal about how she feels the Super Falcons are not being treated as important despite their enormous success on the African continent.

Rasheedat Ajibade calls out NFF for Super Falcons incompetence
‘African women's football deserves better' was what Ajibade tweeted when the WAFCON 2026 tournament was postponed. She also recently took to her Instagram story to complain about the absence of friendlies in the build-up to the upcoming tournament.
The stakes are higher this time, especially with the WAFCON title not the only thing up for grabs. A World Cup spot awaits the final four as well, and failure to achieve that feat will be devastating for Nigeria's football, with the Super Eagles already setting a poor standard on the global stage.
“Sir is there no shame? Camp opens on the 11th of April, and we the players have no idea where the venue is,” a screenshot of her conversation with an official circulating on social media conveyed.
“There's been no offical announcement about the camp, and nothing has been posted on the Super Falcons page on social media page.
“Bloggers and influences have posted before our official pages. Look at the way the African Champions are treated. I'm ashamed.
“It's always about emergencies when it comes to female football, it is well,” the former Atletico Femeni midfielder concluded.
The incompetence shown by the Nigerian Football Federation cuts across all sectors. While the senior female team are struggling for friendlies with a World Cup tournament to fight for, the youth teams have very little hope, when other nations are already putting in the groundwork to secure the future of their football.
