Transfers: Wayne Rooney’s Derby Interested In Forgotten Super Eagles Star; Ahmed Musa In England To Seal West Brom Deal

Derby manager Wayne Rooney has identified Nigerian forward Isaac Success as the right option to boost his side’s attack but face stiff competition from Huddersfield Town for the 25-year-old’s signature.

The Nigeria international is yet to make an appearance for Watford this season, and it looks like the Hornets are ready to offload him if a suitable bid is made.

And Watford could send Isaac Success to a Championship rival on loan, with both Derby County and Huddersfield Town having the Nigerian on their transfer radar, according to The Athletic’s Adam Leventhal.

La Liga side is also reportedly interested in taking the former Granada man back to Spain, with a move the transfer deadline strikes at 11 pm.

Success, who can play as a central striker or on the wing, has suffered from injury and loss of form and has not been a part of the Super Eagles since appearing from the bench in a scoreless friendly draw against Uganda at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in 2018.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has arrived in England and is undergoing a medical ahead of completing his free transfer to West Brom, as per Football Insider.

The Nigeria international was initially fancied to join the west Midlands outfit last week, and it appeared that there might have been a delay caused by travel issues.

But all appears ironed out with personal terms seemingly agreed, and a deal is likely to be announced in the coming hours.
